Being Somatic

Somatic Movement Education is a gentle system of movements performed lying down to relieve tension and pain and improve movement, posture and flexibility.  It is a helpful process to prepare you to enjoy other activities and live with more comfort.

Your instructor will teach the theory of Somatics as well as the movements specific to helping decrease tension, stress and pain – improve mobility, well-being, gait and posture.

No experience necessary. At these classes we take a class consensus and provide education and movement to help students be more comfortable and move with more ease.

Active Living  Somatics

This gentle practice is a guided practice of self-study to help you gain awareness and learn to self-release muscle tension and improve joint mobility.  Learn to explore within your limits to benefit your overall well-being.    Suitable for beginners and those with ongoing conditions who wish to manage their health and well-being.    

Mondays   5:30 – 7:00 pm  Jun 22 – Aug 31 (No class Aug 3) $15 drop in

Thursdays  10:00 – 11:30 am  July 16 –  Aug 27  7 classes $ 100  or $16 per

Notes

Equipment provided or you can bring your own yoga mat for appropriate classes. You do not need to wear gym clothing for Somatics classes but please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
