Somatic Movement Education is a gentle system of movements performed lying down to relieve tension and pain and improve movement, posture and flexibility.  It is a helpful process to prepare you to enjoy other activities and live with more comfort.

Somatic Series

Andrew Teufel will teach the theory of Somatics and movements specific to helping decrease tension, stress and pain – improve mobility, well-being, gait and posture. Andrew has been teaching Somatics for over 24 years.

Somatics for Hips
Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:30 pm Sept. 16 – Oct 7 (4 classes) $70 for the series

Somatics for Shoulders
Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:30 pm Oct. 14 – Nov. 4 (4 classes) $70 for the series

Somatics for Flow
Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:30 pm Nov. 18 – Dec. 2 (3 classes) $53 for the series

Being Somatic

Your instructor will teach the theory of Somatics as well as the movements specific to helping decrease tension, stress and pain – improve mobility, well-being, gait and posture.

No experience necessary. At these classes we take a class consensus and provide education and movement to help students be more comfortable and move with more ease.

Class fees: $15 per class, $60 for pkg of 5 classes, $110 for pkg of 10 classes

Active Living  Yoga and Somatics

This gentle practice is a guided practice of self-study to help you gain awareness and learn to self-release muscle tension and improve joint mobility.  Learn to explore within your limits to benefit your overall well-being.    Suitable for beginners and those with ongoing conditions who wish to manage their health and well-being.

This gentle practice is a guided practice of self-study to help you gain awareness and learn to self-release muscle tension and improve joint mobility.  Learn to explore within your limits to benefit your overall well-being.    Suitable for beginners and those with ongoing conditions who wish to manage their health and well-being.

Suitable for students who want to progress their practice toward balancing.

Notes

Equipment provided or you can bring your own yoga mat for appropriate classes. You do not need to wear gym clothing for Somatics classes but please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
